The challenging experience in my PhD. thesis allowed me to get associated to the most important agriculture research institute of Iran, Seed and Plant Certification and Registration Institute, where I developed cost-efficient fast and accurate RNA extraction protocols to circumvent the difficulties of detecting virus infection in pome and stone fruits such as apple and grapevine to prevent the spreading of viral infection (2017-2018); along with RNA extraction, the RT-PCR conditions were also optimized to increase the sensitivity of detection. Recently, I have collaborated with a lab working on the symbiotic association of Rhizobium with the root system of lentil plants and investigated the use of biofertilizers containing different Rhizobium strains naturally found in lentils in Iran. In this work, we are identifying the multilocus sequence and genetic diversity of superior strains of symbiotic Rhizobium associated with lentil plants (2019-present). Moreover, I have worked with an entomologist group to study the vitellogenin expression in insects reared on different food diets and performed the following experiments: RNA extraction, cDNA preparation, and Real-time Quantitative PCR) (2019). In addition, I have been associated with various academic positions. Besides research, in collaboration with Dr. Akbar Dizadji, I had been associated with different positions including Research Assistant in the Virology Laboratory (e. g. guiding junior students, setting up molecular techniques, writing papers) and also as a Teaching Assistant of the practical parts of Plant Virology course (2011- present) and also supervision of an MSc student at the University of Tehran (2015-2018).
